NKT is now extending its arm in setting up a global operations centre in Chennai, that will provide systems engineering & projects support for its global projects and in contributing to overall success of NKT. It will also embark on new business development and implementation particularly Offshore Wind and HVDC transmission projects in Asia and the Middle East.
Task & Responsibilities:
- Build and improve LCA models, conduct EPD (Env. Product Declaration) and PEP (Product Env. Profile) assessment and reporting.
- Drive external validation and approval of LCA reports.
- Assist in defining requirements towards suppliers.
- Drive eco-label certification.
- Enable NKT to utilize lifecycle analysis to drive climate agenda and integrate eco-design into the engineering process.
- Drive data collection, quality, and analysis optimization to meet increasing demands to integrate sustainability data in business performance (e.g. TCFD, risk management) and to strengthen external reporting on e.g. ESGs.
- Provide data and analysis for internal decision-making.
- Assist in external sustainability assurance processes, customer audits, etc.
- Actively support further anchoring of NKTs sustainability profile in the NKT brand and positioning.
- Assist on e.g. customer audits.
Competences:
- A Masters degree within Science, Engineering or Technology.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in LCA methodologies and modeling relevant to climate change impact and benefits within corporate value chains.
- Advanced expertise conducting LCA, EPDs, PEP Ecopassport in compliance with ISO 14040/44 and EN 15804.
- Hands-on experience with LCA approval process from verifiers preferably with several PCR operators.
- Knowledge of GRI, SDGs, TCFD, CDP reporting process is a plus.
- Experience gained from working with LCA and data analysis in international companies with production sites.
- Experience and profound interest in working with sustainability data both strategically and operationally.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills to convey data insights in common language.
- Solid ability to build strong relations with key stakeholders.
- Experience from working in an environment with many stakeholders and approaches.
- English: Fluent in both writing and speech.
- Good knowledge of Excel, sustainability data collection systems. expert knowledge of LCA software e.g. GABI, SimaPro, or OpenLC.
