Key responsibilities
As a senior you are expected to mentor junior peers and provide guidance and thought leadership on technical topics relevant to the success of the Cloud Governance team.
As a senior you are expected to take initiative and take ownership of creating cross cutting capabilities or artifacts that help the team succeed
Test and implement Azure policies to improve our current governance maturity whilst balanacing against impact to engineering teams.
Build out and reporting of core cloud governance metrics.
Advising of teams on remediation of governance issues.
Administration and management of AWS and GCP cloud providers.
Implementing roadmap of governance for AWS and GCP when it becomes established.
Updating our governance documentation and implementing guidance/changes.
Working with Admiral team to implement governance capabilities within the product.
Supporting security and compliance teams in identification of governance issues and establishing plans for remediation.
Working in sprints, break down work into actionable items which drive incremental improvements in our compliance capabilities.
We are looking for
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud governance including policy definitions/assignments, identity and access management, etc.
The candidate will have a good understanding of governance standards and how cloud compliance can be measured and managed in public cloud hosting providers.
The candidate will have experience with defining Cloud infrastructures, through Infrastructure as Code and experience and understanding of modern Devops and Agile practices.
The candidate is a resilient team player who is data driven and goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment with the ability to work under minimal supervision and work collaboratively with the FinOps team and directly into engineering teams.
Experienced Cloud engineer within compliance space, coming either from Large Enterprise or small start-up. Certified in Azure; Google;AWS is a plus
Technical skills: (Multiple)
Public cloud experience (Azure, Google, AWS)
Demonstrable experience in Cloud compliance.
Experience in Cloud Governance, security.
Broad knowledge of Public Cloud Hosting offerings.
Powershell
SCRUM/agile development
DevOps Practices
Ability to communicate effectively across compliance teams and engineering in language and context they understand.
Ability to translate standards into technical policy definitions to measure compliance.
