Job Description
a.Responsible for writing advanced T-SQL queries, complex joins indexes, triggers, stored procedures, schema design, and validation of SQL queries.b.Experience in understanding and writing DMV functions and Queries.
c.Installation, configuration and maintenance of MS SQL Server.
d.Experience in high availability services like Mirroring, Replication and Log shipping.
e.Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex database problems.
f.Experience in performing regular backups and scheduling of tasks
g.Analysis of requirements; development & coding of applications per specifications and in conformance with coding standards.
h.Authoring of Functional and Technical specification documents.
i.Experience in programming and a demonstrated ability to learn new languages and scripting quickly.
j.Strong communication and client-facing skills
k.A team player who is process oriented, with a good attitude.
l.Providing support, guidance and collaborating with Application Developers to implement database design, and review developers work to ensure correct implementation.
m.Ability to manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team
n.Track record of following established company and department standards and best practices
Educational Qualifications:
a.BE/Btech or ME/MTech in Computer Science or related disciplines.
b.MCA
c.Relevant Microsoft Certification is a plus.
Primary/Mandatory Skills:
a.Good Written and Verbal Communication.
b.At least 2 years experience in working hands-on with MS SQL Server 2012, 2014 or 2016.
c.Demonstrable working knowledge of RDBMS concepts & DB design.
d.Strong experience in writing Views, Stored Procedures, User Defined Function and Triggers.
e.Hands-on experience in trouble-shooting and monitoring with SQL Profiler, troubleshooting tools and other related monitoring tools.
f.Hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimisation.
g.Demonstrated competency in analyzing requirements, developing/coding applications as per the specification and coding standards.
h.Preparation of Functional and technical specification document.
i.Strong programming experience in multiple languages and a demonstrated ability to learn new languages and scripting quickly
j.Demonstrated competency in coding and unit testing (Test Driven Development/Unit testing) and providing high quality output.
k.Track record of delivering commitments as defined, on time and with the highest quality.
l.Experience with code refactoring and conducting peer code reviews.
m.Hands on technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database servers
n.Well versed in Agile, current software development best-practices and tools
Secondary/Desired Skills:
a.Crystal Reports Development
b.SSRS report development using TSQL
c.SSIS ETL package development,
d.Knowledge of ASP.NET, VB/Java Script and XML/HTML/JSON will be an added advantage.
e.Build, deploy and test automation using commonly available tools
f.Health Care domain knowledge is an added advantage
