Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:The Senior Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts that improve product quality, increase test coverage, and increase team productivity.
Key responsibilities associated with the role include:
Understanding the business requirements, application, and its components.
Participating in Selenium Environment Setup with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
Identification of test scenarios for automation of functional, regression and smoke testing
Preparation of efforts to plan the automation task.
Updating framework functions based on requirements.
Implementation of automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid and JAVA
Implementation of automation scripts using Selenium, Appium and JAVA for mobile application.
Executing the automation test scripts for each build on multiple browsers stable and beta versions.
Reviewing the test reports and preparing test automation scripts execution results report.
Reporting any issues identified on day-to-day basis.
Involving in giving daily and weekly status reports to management.
Involving in regular code push and pull to GIT.
Preparation of the Functional and Technical specification document.
Understand programming well enough to learn new languages and scripting quickly.
Strong communication and client-facing skills
A team player, process oriented and should have good attitude.
Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team experience and skills.
Following established company and department standards and best practices
Involving in providing In-house trainings.
Ability to work individually and in a team as and when required.
Understand programming well enough to learn new languages and scripting quickly.
Handling multiple projects simultaneously
Update the respective stake holders on the Project status.
Work on Agile and SCRUM methodologies
Education:
BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Computer Science or related disciplines.
BCA/MCA.
Relevant Microsoft/JAVA/SELENIUM/SCRUM certification is a definite plus.
Primary/Mandatory Skills:
Good Oral and Verbal Communication.
At least 3 to 5 years experience in working hands-on with Selenium and JAVA.
Good knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Needs to be strong in writing code using JAVA.
Needs to be strong in design test scripts for mobile application with Appium, Selenium and JAVA.
Should have exposure to testing frameworks TestNG, Junit and Maven
Hands-on experience in designing test automation scripts with Selenium and JAVA.
Analyze requirement, automate the application as per the specification and coding standards.
Preparation of the Functional and technical specification document.
Understand programming well enough to learn new languages.
Coding and unit testing (Test Driven Development/Unit testing) and providing the quality output.
On time delivery.
Proving the quality of the work by unit testing and code reviews
Hands on Technical experience with installation of Eclipse IDE with required configuration
Well versed in current software development practices and tools, including:
Virtual environments
Analysis of existing code for bug fixing, creating design documents.
Knowledge of CI and CD process
Knowledge of SQL server
Knowledge of .Net, VB Script and XML Coding.
Secondary/Desired Skills:
Performance Testing tool knowledge
Knowledge of Azure environment
Build and deploy using commonly available tools.
Health Care domain knowledge is an added advantage.
Note:
Candidate should be able to look at the code and understand the functionality without proper documentation.
