Job Description

Extensive technical knowledge and experience in database management techniques including physical database optimization, database performance monitoring, backup and recovery.
Experience of managing high transaction databases in clustered environment is preferable.
Should have knowledge of basic ITIL fundamentals and certification would be preferred.
Support Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017 databases, SSIS and SSRS and SSAS Services.
Implement and support Microsoft Clustering Services, Always On and Log shipping.
Knowledge of SQL Server tools (Profiler, DTA, SSMS, SSCM, PerfMon, DMVs, system sprocs).
Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, SPNs, storage components.
Must have experience in managing databases over Cloud technologies like MS Azure and AWS.
Knowledge of managing databases on PostgreSQL and MySQL would be preferable.
Understanding and Practical experience of PowerShell scripting.
Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Basic Knowledge and awareness of networking and storage concept.
Proficient in support duties such as performance tuning, monitoring, backup, recovery, and security.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, oral and written communications skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible, work independently or as part of a team, and ability to self-motivate and be proactive.
Should be comfortable browsing a query execution plan and understand how to use it to identify opportunities for optimization.
Understanding of potential lock escalations, deadlocks, isolation levels etc is vital
Candidates having Database Administrators certification will be preferred.
Skills Required:
Possess good Troubleshooting and Analytical skills.
Should have basic knowledge of ITIL fundamentals
Knowledge of TSQL, SSIS, PowerShell.

MS Sql Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017 (2019 nice to have).
PostgreSQL and MySQL databases
