JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Role: Web Application Quality Assurance Engineer.
Skill set:
Must have
The passion, patience, and perseverance crucial to breaking a product.
Ability to understand & review product requirements and document test plans based on them.
Ability to think about test cases including but not limited to functional, performance, load and regression tests.
Familiarity with at least one programming language.
Ability to write and maintain a set of automated tests.
Experience in designing test cases for testing RESTful APIs.
Experience in testing cloud hosted backends & frontends.
Hands-on with test automation tools like Selenium.
Experience in cross-browser web-app testing.
Conversant with Linux based products/deployments.
Ability and readiness to mentor juniors.
Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools and source control systems (like Git).
Knowledge of streaming data and protocols like WebSockets, MQTT.
Exposure to testing webapps on AWS.
Experience testing network appliances or IoT products.
Experience testing mobile apps would be a big plus.
Exposure to serverless deployments would be a big plus.
