Job Description
About the Role We are looking for a lead for Prime Services Core Services Technology team in India. This role requires a solid understanding of Capital Markets at least one of the asset class like fixed income, FX, commodities or equities. The lead will primarily focus on delivering technology solutions and support prime services - Middle Office, Risk and Margin management product suite. The lead will manage key stakeholders across business, technology and support teams. Role and Responsibilities
- Lead Prime services Core Services technology teams across multiple locations with direct responsibility for Development, Technology Analysis teams and QA teams.
- Lead, design and develop technology solutions to complex problems that require both in depth knowledge of capital markets and strong technical expertise.
- Collaborate with US technology managers for projects driven by them with a team extension model.
- Drive full project life cycle for other projects / applications including user interaction, planning, development, testing and L3 support.
- Proactively manage risk including deliverables, operational issues through implementation of right controls and escalate where required.
- Act as the primary point person to peer groups and customers for effective communication on systems and projects within area of responsibility.
- Design and develop applications, tools and processes to ensure better safety, reliability and supportability.
- Collaborate with QA, production support and platform engineering teams effectively.
Essential Qualification
- Bachelor Degree with 15+ years of experience in developing enterprise software solutions.
- 6+ years of experience in leading small to mid-size teams.
- Hands on experience in Core Java, multi-threading, caching and messaging framework.
- Ability to design and develop platforms from ground up.
- Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills are required for the timely resolution of complex technical issues
- Ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics and arrive at robust designs
- Should have good skills with build and deployment tools (Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Udeploy)
- Should be able to define and manage multiple application environments (SIT, QA, production, DR)
- Will need to work with multiple teams to design and implement solutions Infrastructure, Development, App Support, QA, DBA and business teams
