Job Title: Senior Scrum Master
Work Location: Bangalore
Experience Required: 10+ years
Description:
Purpose:
- We are building an industry-leading Cloud organization focused on accelerating cloud enablement for complex business applications.
- As a Scrum Master, you will contribute to the Cloud Engineering and Operations team by playing a facilitator role by coaching and mentoring scrum teams to meet their PI and Sprint goals, helping the team by remove obstacles to be productive, collaborating with cross functional teams on various interdepended tasks and initiatives, reporting on project KPIs and metrics to leadership team etc.
What Youll Be Doing
In this role you will:
- Own and facilitate team governance structure aligned to Agile methodology
- Daily Agile team meetings, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings
- Own, maintain and monitor project management documents and deliverables
- Create and maintain Scrum Team Information & Stakeholder Register, Sprint Backlog, Track Burn chart, Velocity, Retrospective charts etc.
- Support Product Manager with maintaining Product Backlog
- Interface with other parts of the organization to enable team success
- Shield the team from outside distractions and interferences
- Assist in conflict resolution
- Liaise with stakeholders and product owner to clear obstacles, resolve issues and obtain resources
- Coach Product team to optimize approach, ways of working and effectiveness
- Provide expertise in estimation and planning: create useful, reliable and practical plans for data analytics and experimental design.
- Help team or individual to clarify goals and actions to achieve them
- Manage the other agile ceremonies and lifecycle
Competencies/Experience Needed
- 8-10 years of total experience in working in an Agile Team in an IT role and/or in a life sciences company.
- 3-5 years of prior experience of playing a dedicated Scrum Master role preferably using SAFe Agile methodologies.
- Expert in guiding scrum teams with sprint planning, backlog grooming, story estimation, dependency analysis and proficient in identifying roadblocks and impediments to ensure smooth functioning of scrum teams.
- Help other scrum masters or peers in project organization to adopt Agile practices.
- Work with respective project manager and program lead on assigned duties towards managing overall program and portfolio of projects and initiatives.
- Rapidly develops strong, mutually trusting relationships across different levels of seniority
- Clear, concise and persuasive communicator to stakeholders, team members and customers across all levels of seniority.
- Ability to influence without direct responsibility and manage upwards.
- Demonstrates strong empathy for what individuals within these teams will be going through.
- Flexibility to adapt and adjust methods and approaches.
- Innovative, problem-solver mindset.
- Ability to provide transparent, direct and constructive feedback.

- Ability to effectively motivate and collaborate a distributed scrum team.
Technical Skills
The ideal candidate should:
- Hands on working and experience with Jira and Confluence including plugins like Structure, Portfolio, Easy BI etc.
- Should have in-depth knowledge on defining/ modifying Jira workflows, issue types and custom configuration.
- Experience in defining Scrum and Kanban boards in Jira and creating dashboards for tracking Program Increment and Sprint deliveries and backlogs. Should be proficient in report preparation and presentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advances level of proficiency on Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, SharePoint)
- Experienced working in IT infrastructure projects, preferably for cloud technologies
- Prior working knowledge with ITSM tools like Service Now (preferred)
