Here would be the most important skills I would suggest. I feel the software and tasks can be learned easily enough, so for that reason I believe 1 year of translation experience is enough. As Asthra agrees, the most important thing to look for here is the ability to effectively communicate.
Good communicator
Strong attention to detail
Good project management and analytical skills
1-2 years experience using Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools e.g. WordFast, Trados, etc.
Experience working with European and/or Asian languages.
Creating videos with subtitles
Assisting with Connector Effect book translation queries
