Job Description
Subsea Project Managers are responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of a subsea project and accomplishing the stated project objectives. They ensure the completion of the design, procurement, fabrication, shipment and installation of wellhead and subsea equipment on schedule and within the approved budget, while meeting all of the regulatory and company specific technical and safety related requirements.
- Implements and manages the Project Schedule and monitors its execution
- Selects individuals for the Project and builds the dedicated Project personnel into a cohesive team who understand their respective responsibilities and interdependencies
- Identifies shortfalls in Project resources and general slippages in work progress, and identifies and implements remedial actions
- Attends in-house resource and planning meetings to ensure that project requirements for personnel assignment and priorities are managed
- Monitors the Project expenditure and ensures that this matches the predefined target costs as closely as possible
- Closely monitors all activities leading up to defined Project Milestones to ensure that they are delivered on schedule
- Manages project expenditure, and identifies potential risks of overspend
- Reports any breaches of safety procedures to supervision / management
- Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times
