Inviting applications for the role of SM, Data Scientist
In this role, you would be responsible for building predictive analytics solutions. The individual must be an active contributor towards the overall objective of the project.
Responsibilities- Identifying valuable data sources, integration of them and undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
- Analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Doing exploratory data analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Applying data science techniques, such as machine learning and statistical modeling, measure & improve the results and present final results to stakeholders
- Combining models through ensemble modeling
- Propose ML based solutions and strategies to business challenges and write optimal production ready Python scripts to implement the solutions. Should be able to work on large volume of data.
- End to end automation from data extraction to preprocessing and solution deployment with documentation.
- Collaborate with different teams - Data Engineers, BI Developers, SMEs etc.
- Masters in Mathematics, Economics or Statistics (or other quantitative field) or Engineering graduate (with sound knowledge of quantitative field)
- Strong coding skills in Python (Jupyter notebooks/Spyder); familiarity different Python packages used for ML model build
- Experience as a Data Scientist delivering end to end ML based analytical solutions with sound understanding of their financial and operational impacts
- Excellent understanding and hands on experience on various machine-learning algorithms and predictive analytical solutions with good knowledge on the pros and cons of each of the approaches
- Experience in Azure ML or Azure Databricks is desirable.
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop) is a plus
- Good analytical mind, business acumen and able to present the results/technical terms in layman terms
- Must be proactive in researching solutions, implement it to solve the business problem
- Familiarity with F&A process is desirable
