The Role
A Technical Lead (TL) will typically lead the application development and
maintenance of all Automation systems across multiple enterprise clients. A TL will
also provide strategic technical direction to automate operations (incident
identification and rectification).
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Lead application development and maintenance of multiple Automation systems
running in client production environments. This includes design, estimation and
development of new features (CRs)
Understand automation system design, logic and business context. Help with incident
triage and debugging of complex incidents
Identify opportunities for innovation and lead the design and development of
shortlisted ideas
Provide strategic direction to the team to automate operations, leading to improved
reliability, scalability and lower manual interventionsStakeholder management and ability to independently lead technical discussions with
clients
Drive performance analysis and system tuning. Manage automation system
onboarding from a technical perspective
The Candidate
The ideal Technical Lead will be a engineer who is passionate about leading and
guiding application development and maintenance teams and should be willing to
lead a team of talented engineers.
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
B.E. / B.Tech degree in one of the following departments (i) Computer Science, (ii)
Information Sciences, (iii) Electrical Engineering, (iv) Electronics or equivalent
5-9 years of strong coding experience in any programming language like Python,
Java, C, C++, C#, Go. Prior experience in Python programming is a bonus
Exposure to large-scale systems and systems architecture, and experience in
building and maintaining production systems
Understanding of Unix/Linux systems, RDBMS and networking concepts
Experience in popular DevOps tools like Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Containers, CI/CD
pipelines etc. Prior experience in mentoring and guiding young engineers in the team
Bonus Skills:
Experience in AWS/Azure environments, and orchestration using Kubernetes
Knowledge of PKI, SMTP, Web servers Nginx/Apache, Python web-frameworks
Good understanding and prior experience of the Agile Scrum process
