Regional General Ledger-APAC CORE GL For MNC IT Company IN PUNE
Roles and Responsibility
- Responsible for managing service delivery for accounting and reporting processes accounting as per US GAAP, GL reconciliations and Month-end closing;
- Responsible for preparation and filing of statutory financial statements under applicable local GAAP for APAC Region
- Maintain statutory compliance of the various legal entities in the region including coordination with tax and legal functions, accounting services provider and external audit provider;
- Provide oversight to the regional payroll and AP disbursement activities
- Lead an organization of managers and individual contributors;
- Provide accounting guidance to team on day-to-day accounting matters;
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures, and control environment;
- Measure process performance with appropriate KPIs and metrics and publish the same regularly to senior management as well as within the team;
- Continuous and demonstrable improvement of productivity resulting in increased service productivity;
- Ensure and monitor that processes are in place to provide sustainable and consistent service quality through rigorous management of change control and acceptance into service procedures;
- Ensure resources, capabilities and capacity to meet both existing and new business demand;
- Provide expert problem management support to difficult, high profile customer issues and ensures root-cause analysis is conducted and a corrective action plan is followed through with any learning applied for future benefit;
- Champion team-working and knowledge sharing and promote the increased use of shared services capability.
- Assist with international expansion in the APAC region
Required Skills & Experience-
- CA and/or US CPA, any additional qualifications would be an added advantage.
- Seasoned accounting professional with 15- 18+ years of experience
- 10+ years of people management experience, with strong people orientation
- Sound knowledge of Accounting Standard - US GAAP (IFRS preferred) would be preferred and needed;
- Experience of leading and managing teams (including matrix management) within an operational service delivery or shared services environment
- Strong knowledge of APAC regional compliance in the areas of financial reporting, payroll and taxes
Knowledge
- Experience in NetSuite financials would be a big plus
- Experience of working in a shared service model is a big plus
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must be multi-task oriented, hands-on and able to work with frequent interruptions
- Must have a proactive "can do" attitude.
- Capacity to assess process and internal control weaknesses and identify improvements
- Flexibility to support different time-zones and geographies
- Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly articulate expectations and outcomes with various levels of management, both in Finance and Business
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written)
- Excellent leadership skills in a global environment
- Understanding/knowledge of RPA implementation would be an added advantage.
