HOD - Design Engineering

Customized Furniture Industry

Experience: 12 to 15 years

Gender: Male

Salary bracket: 80,000 to 1,00,000

Location : Shivane, Pune.

KEY ROLES: Managing and Training a team of junior initial designers and engineers

• Checking the initial and engineering furniture production drawings of team
• Site inspection
• Co-ordination with production team in comprehension of drawings for product development
• Reporting to director about daily work and production status
• Reading, understanding and getting shop drawing revisions done in co[1]ordination with retail team

SOFTWARE SKILLS:

• Excellent in AutoCAD
• MS OfLice (Word, Excel)

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• Technical know-how of furniture engineering (chair, sofa, bed, tables, units, wardrobe) with section, part detail and isometric views
• BOM (carpentry, hardware, polish, upholstery, metal) and cutting list knowledge
• Very good understanding of furniture proportions
• Strong checking of shop drawings and production drawings
• Strong training ability and team management skills
• Time management skills
• Working on deadlines
• Minimum 10 years of drafting experience as furniture design engineer
