PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Globalization Services enables the customers to expand their business worldwide and create value chains for sustainable growth, thus making every customer best-run business everywhere. Globalization Services owns, secures, and enhances the Globalization of SAP solutions across the entire solution portfolio, covering technical prerequisites, translation, global business practices, and local requirements.
Being part of the HMX (Human Experience Management), you will be working on the localization of Cloud Native Payroll. You shall be working on some of the latest cloud-native technologies and be part of the microservice development architecture.
You will work in a Scrum team with a diverse mix of highly motivated young and mature talents focused on Java and other technologies like Rabbit MQ, HTML5, SAP UI5, OData.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
You work as a Senior Java developer in an agile development team according to the Scrum methodology
You develop microservices-based components that will be deployed on the cloud through hyperscalers and SAP cloud infrastructures.
You contribute to development, architecture, and concept definition depending on your experience.
You take over responsibility for design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and customer support
You cooperate closely with colleagues across functions within and outside of your development team to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
You have a degree from a university/academy of education (Bachelor, Diploma, Master) in one or more of the following fields: information technology, computer science, mathematics, applied sciences, engineering, or a related area.
Required skills
Expert level Java coding skills and expertise in Web Services (REST, OData), JPA, JDBC with a focus on performance, scalability, and extensibility.
Good working knowledge of Spring, Spring-Boot, REST.
RDBMS concepts and solid foundation with relational database and SQL
Experience in Agile/Scrum, BDD, TDD, software refactoring, and another engineering best practices.
Knowledge of lean development infrastructure process including Git, Jenkins, etc. and exposure to Continuous Delivery practices
Experience in Microservice Development is preferred.

6 or more years of experience in software development
