Inviting applications for the role of Python with Database knowledge (DB2/Sybase Preferred) and Java
Responsibilities
Seeking a Java developer to join a global development team. The individual will join a strong and highly skilled team of developers who build solutions that enable our business to make investment decisions. and trade Equity and Multi-Asset portfolios. In this role, candidate will be responsible for developing Java and Python related code. Should be able to write effective and scalable code. Improve functionality of existing systems.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- BE/B Tech/ MCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have prerequisites/ skills
- Strong understanding of relational database DB2/some Sybase
- Strong data analytical skills (SQL)
- ETL Python and potentially other scripting tools.
- Familiar with Hadoop
- Familiar with Linux / Unix environment, including working with shell, ssh and / or other command line tools.
- Working knowledge of Core JAVA / J2EE and understanding OOP
- Experience in SDLC process (e.g., Waterfall) and Agile Methodology (Scrum)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach
- Financial industry knowledge, preferably in Sales & Trading or Investment Banking.
- Knowledge of Disclosure of Interest requirements is particularly beneficial.
- Knowledge of trades data, positions data, reference data.
- Experience working in medium to large-scale development projects
Preferred qualifications
- Strong experience in application troubleshooting.
- Experienced in running an end to end project interacting with users globally.
- Experience in developing complex solution
- Technical analysis and design
- Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving and Communication Skills
- Ability to build or work in a continuous integration framework.
- Must be able to interact with all levels of personnel within the organization and be effective with both business and technical teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for managing interactions both within the team and without.
- Development using Core Java + Python and exposure to capital markets
- Experience in DB2 is preferred. Reasonable Proficiency to function independently in databases is required.
- Integration between various in-house sources of data
