Position summaryThe Global Product Manager has overall ownership of a designated product portfolio within Micro-electronics that includes product line management, technology roadmap, value creation, and commercial support. She or he plays a leading role in developing the long-term strategy of the organization where we will target, what would be the critical initiatives, action plans to enable successful achievement of strategic targets. In direct coordination with Sales, R&D and Operations, this individual will focus on driving growth and profitability of the designated portfolio. Key responsibilities include the following key activities:
Product Life Cycle Management & Change Management
New Product Development
Pricing Strategy
Customer Care Resolutions & Quality Improvement Projects
Margin Improvement Projects (VAVE)
Forecasting and Capacity Planning
Value Proposition Development
Other duties as required
This position will also manage a team of Application Product Managers who will be responsible for the day-to-day tactical management of product line(s) and Product Planners who will be responsible for new product development.
Skills and competencies
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field; MBA preferred
Accomplished track record in product management
Strong VOC skills and the ability to translate customer needs into products.
Passion to win - winning is beating the competition and growing Pall sales and gross margins
Ability to listen to various partners (e.g., customers, Sales) and generate meaningful insights
Ability to monitor customer churn and assess how to sustain at-risk accounts
Possess the ability to lead, influence and shape opinion among a peer group of senior managers
Proven ability in partnering with cross-functional teams and solid influencing skills to deliver strong product line performance and growth
Optimally deliver results while quickly adapting to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including international travel
