Roles and Responsibilities:
- Mentoring team for their respective tasks.
- Work closely with Architect and management for effort estimates, team planning, backlog creation and sprint planning.
- Responsible in design of modules / components and workflows, ensure end to end development along with documentation.
- Reviews code to ensure compliance with coding standards and to ensure that defined requirements are met. Makes recommendations for improvements.
- Responds to and resolves escalated calls for technical assistance received from production support.
- Manage the delivery of assigned modules on time with high quality. Review Requirements and test plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 7- 9 years of Strong programming languages and scripting (E.g. Python, Shell scripting).
- Ability create and execute test plan for cloud hosted storage services
- Proven understanding of storage technologies (Replication, Virtualization, RAID, Block/File IO, compression, encryption), SAN fabrics, block storage technologies
- Proven understanding/exposure of public cloud environments (AWS, Azure etc.) and hybrid cloud services
- Host OS virtualization (VMware, MS Hyper-V) environment and Cloud (Container, Kubernetes) environment
- Familiarity with protocol analyzers, IO exercisers, IO jammers and performance tools
- Exposure to IP storage protocols (iSCSI, NVMe over Fabrics, RDMA) or Fibre Channel ( FCP)
- Understanding of Ethernet/IP Networking, file systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Test automation and harness design and development
- CI/CD pipeline to automate software delivery process (code builds, automated tests, and deploying to a staging environment)
- Jenkins, Jira, Github Integration aspects
- Understanding of Block storage performance considerations
- Understanding of storage services performance considerations
- Performance characteristics, modelling and creating performance test plans
- Exposure to tools such as vdbench, iometer, linux perf tools etc.
- Ability to identify performance bottleneck, debug and document report
- Tools for performance testing and debugging in cloud
