Desired Candidate Profile
1. Design, develop, test and implement IT - business continuity plan that results in minimizing business risk to the organization.
2. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure: Manage and perform process to create, manage virtual desktops automated the process using scripts and Power-Cli. Train offshore support personnel to take over the Build and maintenance of all Virtual Desktops
3. Manage ESX hosts, VUM, NAS and SAN storage.
4. Manage multi-vendor virtual infrastructure maintenance, support, troubleshooting and repair for physical and virtual machines (hypervisors) and VDI during on-boarding and transition to external support.
5. Executed daily production and development administration and changes in an end-to-end VMware virtualization stack with zero user impact
6. Manage, compute and storage resource capacity to optimize system performance, increasing VM density for future requirement.
7. Design and implement VMWARE Failover Clustering, virtualizing over 90% of workloads, enabling high availability across most systems, and driving efficiency for local and remote locations.
8. Install, Manage, and configure data centre with multiple VMware ESXi hosts with High Available and Distributed Resource Scheduler.
9. Disaster recovery replication configuration and testing
10. Should have Very good knowledge of IT Operations, infrastructure services support, operations monitoring and end user support.
11. Ability to perform root cause analysis on all VMware products. E.g. ESX hosts, Virtual Centres, and Virtual Machines, VDI ,Physical servers, storage ,SAN Switches
12. Apply patches, update and upgrades to servers, workstations and stored images
13. Ability to administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) attached to VMware environments.
14. Understanding of Virtual Centre Operations Manager for proactive assessment of performance and identification of potential resource bottlenecks
15. Provide support in performance monitoring, back-ups, reporting, Root Cause Analysis, and resolution for VMware environments
16. Any other related task as assigned by the reporting Authority.
