Job Description
The incumbent should be a BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech - Chemical / ME /M.Tech Environmental with minimum of 15- 20 years of relevant work experience in Chemical / Specialty Chemical / Alkalis Industry.

Job Description:
- Discover, develop, and commercialize technology applied to the Chlorakali industry or any Inorganic chemical industry.
- Deep expertise in understanding chemistry related to inorganic reactions in chemical process, water and wastewater treatment.
- Responsible for management & completion of development projects in accordance with agreed objectives. Includes planning, rigorous completion of scientific work to agreed standard, interpretation of scientific results, reporting and maintenance of appropriate documentation.
- Having fair experience in designing of bench-scale, pilot scale and up scaled equipment and associated utility requirements.
- Demonstrated track record in creative research, futuristic technologies, having flavor to preempt and take research in that direction.
- Know-how with a particular emphasis on developing technologies pertaining to Environmental conservation and pollution Prevention.
- Experience in coordinating with the consultants in the preparation of Sustainability Reports and other Environmental related project reports.
- The ability to document working a project from screening through the commercialization pipeline.
- Computer literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.
- Built and improve on the best traditions of research & development.
- Create competitive research and development products and processes that meet the current demands and anticipate future needs.
- Wastewater recycling-implement and monitor advance technology like membrane and electro chemical technology on a periodic basis.
- Develop and implement technology to reduce the amount of solid and liquid waste generated.
- Reduce the amount of chemicals used by researching on and subsequently using environment-friendly substitutes.
- Implement technologies that reduce the amount of carbon emissions.
- Design and commission plant in compliance with wastewater and drain treatment.
- Design, install, commission and execute the desalination plant.
- To support other departments with technical information, specifications and solutions.
- Plan, arrange and oversee the training schedules for the subordinates and the trainees.
- Develop new products which have good market potential and reduce the cost of the existing product.
- Renovate the firefighting system on an annual basis.
- Implement and monitor the health, environment and safety policies and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety related statutory requirements.

Skills : Work independently without direct supervision
Strong leadership, communication (English & Tamil), Team building and interpersonal relationship skills, attention for detail, analytical, creative and initiative skills, accepting responsibility and a level of accountability that is proportionate to the seniority of the position.
