Job Description
Data Scientist is an Individual Contributor role where you would be involved in identifying complex fuzzy problems, breaking them down into smaller parts and implementing creative, data-driven solutions. You would be responsible for defining, tracking and improving key metrics and communicating business trends to stakeholders.
KEY ACCOUTABILITIES
- Understanding user requirements and map the same to the solution being built.
- Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions with Business SMEs to define and drive out details of user stories, functional testing scenarios, and solution acceptance criteria
- Creating, analyzing, and validating detailed functional specifications
- Ensure the Product delivery by the dev team is as per the agreed upon specifications.
- Provide documentation on how positions are being built, where data is taken from, what/when adjustments are required, business logic, functional design, source to target mappings.
- Ensure user support considerations are reviewed and aligned for ongoing solution monitoring and maintenance
- Evaluate data quality and consistency as viewed and required by the business.
Candidate Profile
- Clear communication and ability to work with business users, understanding their requirements and demonstration of the solution
- Good with SQL and Excel and ability to prepare prototype models and scenarios
- Technical capabilities: Expertise in SQL, Excel, other scripting languages
- Good background in statistical modelling and experience with statistical tool
- Data Analysis skills specifically around trading data
- Ability to breakdown any problem into components that can be collaboratively solved
- Ability to negotiate on the scope of the problem through business understanding
- Penchant for business and persistence to work with data to derive insights
- Experience in analysing very large, complex, multi-dimensional data sets
- Ability to multitask and work on a diverse range of requirements
