Summary and Role Information
We are looking for a developer joining the Data and Semantics unit for a rapidly growing development team focusing on business process performance profiling and analytics. We develop services with state of the art big data, data modelling and analytics and AI/ML that gather, process and analyze performance measures and enable power users to create insight out of process performance data. We build a semantics layer that directly connects to the SAP delivered business processes. You will be part of a technology-focused group that is built to creatively engineer new solutions for SAP while working in a startup-like environment and atmosphere.
As a developer you .
- Work as a fully contributing team member with independent planning & execution responsibilities to deliver features end-to-end
- Work on problems of complex scope through general usage of standard programming concepts, HANA Cloud data modelling, integration and analytics technologies as well as principles and application of own judgment
- Design, develop and test usable software in close collaboration with the product owner and scrum team
- Perform extensive dev testing for the features that you develop
- Ensure all sign-off criteria (quality, performance, etc.) are met before completion of development
- Quickly acquire proficient development skills in new areas and technologies in alignment with the team's priorities
- Foster the culture of innovation in day to day work w.r.t product, process, developer efficiency etc.
- Communicate proactively on the risk of delivery/support required from all the stakeholders
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or information systems
- Profound knowledge about entire SAP cloud software development lifecycle, product standards and delivery processes
- Professional experience in programming for general-purpose languages such as Java, JavaScript or Python
- Excellent understanding of Databases, SQL, OLAP Data modelling, knowledge in SQL Data Lake or Kafka a plus
- Basic understanding of Data Intelligence and Business Process Management a plus
- Very good team player with appropriate soft skills
Work Experience
- 4+ years in Software Development, Track record with the delivery of SAP products from ideation to customer adoption a plus
- 1+ Years work experience in delivering, managing and operating cloud services
- Experience with test-driven development and continuous integration and delivery
- Practical application and integration of HANA Cloud and SAC or BW on HANA
