Were looking for an experienced SDET who will be part of shaping the continued evolution of our SDLC processes within Global Technology. This is a very demanding role for established and aspiring professionals who thrive in a complex product environment but can ultimately ensure quality is delivered to our business stakeholders through cutting edge technology solutions.
As an SDET; you will be instrumental in delivering solutions that improve the testability and robustness of our systems. Working with product developers; you will expand our opportunities for the use of test automation solutions and frameworks through your ability to generate interest and enthusiasm; influence change; and promote the global adherence of best practice and standards across the entire SDLC.
A collaborative individual who is comfortable challenging and driving forward improvement initiatives for the benefit and efficiencies of a delivery team; bringing your assertiveness and flexibility in equal measures to nurture innovation and growth in your colleagues and overall teams development.
The team
Working with Capability (Product) Owners and Stakeholders provides full immersion in business requirements that ease the conversion to features and user stories for a delivery team.

What youll do
Work as a key member of an Agile team taking part in all events where you will work with the Capability (Product) Owner to help create User Stories; define acceptance criteria and translate them into test specifications
Work closely with your team to create comprehensive test approaches using the design specifications
Focus on improving the testability and robustness of the system(s) under test
Work in tandem with product developers to ensure effective test coverage and identifying opportunities for test automation
Raise the quality bar; by using your knowledge of test frameworks and approaches to keep driving the quality bar upwards
Support your team in developing testing tools to monitor and expose defects
Participate in software design meetings and work closely with your team to ensure testability and best practices are built into the architecture and code
Participate in code reviews; software maintenance releases; and documentation of test cases and results
Design; implement and document test environments and frameworks
Develop C# unit tests and other automated test cases (integration/regression/stress/GUI) using various frameworks; refactoring product code as required to make it testable
Review and debug product and test code to identify defects or performance bottlenecks
Analyse test data and produce test reports
The knowledge; experience and qualifications you need
Solid experience around test case automation practices within a complex product environment; understanding how and when to use programming skills to solve complex testing problems
Demonstrable ability to leverage test tools and design frameworks for re-usability
Experience developing automation in at least one language e.g. Java; C#; Python; alternatively; experience in implementing automated test solutions with tools such as POSTMAN; SpecFlow; Selenium
Excellent problem solving skills with an acute attention to detail
Good knowledge of testing principles; test design; script creation; test execution and defect management
Experience of owning and driving improvements in testing across the development team
Excellent communication skills written and verbal with a proven ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
Should be able to effectively collaborate with stakeholders; team members and other peers with a demonstrable ability to influence
Pro-active with the ability to challenge and to drive forward best-practice
Strong sense of ownership
Keen on Quality; you care about maintaining the highest quality of applications at every stage of the development and release cycles
Growth mind-set; exhibiting a willingness to use your experience to mentor other engineers. A desire to learn from others and make yourself better every day.
The knowledge; experience and qualifications that will help
An understanding of QA processes in Agile development environments
SCRUM experience
