THE ROLE
We are looking for a senior technology leader to join our diverse team of professionals, as our Principal Engineer for Data Migration, Replication and Recovery. As a leader in this area, you will have a hands-on understanding of global database technologies and their scaling, security, and build automation. Ideally, you will also have an understanding of SAP s product offerings and HANA database. The focus on this role is on the architecture and build automation of data systems as related to data migration, data replication and data recovery. You will have the opportunity to work alongside many skilled peers and will lead the efforts of a team to deliver modern database solutions and automation. In these efforts you will also drive efforts to advance capabilities data systems observability and alerting.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or Equivalent with minumum 14 years of experience in Information Technology
Professional experience working as a consultant, defining objectives and servicing multiple internal (or external) organizations as a partner
Demonstrable experience with multiple database technologies (HANA, MSSQL, MySQL, Mongo, etc.) and DB system strategies for scale, performance, replication and recovery
Strong hands-on knowledge of automation tools such as the following: Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, Packer, Jenkins, Docker, Consul, Vault
Experience leading technology teams: delegation, definition and leadership of broad goals, mentorship, and team development
Knowledge and experience working with hyperscaler cloud providers
Experience in automation and planning for data migration
Strong presence and excellent communication skills with technical focus
Interested in technology, innovation, and how digital platforms can solve business challenges
