Inviting applications for the role of Python ETL/ELT Developer
In this role, you will work with MedPro Data Science and Data Engineering team to ensure delivery of data operations solutions, consistent with a long-term data strategy. We are an AWS / Python based department looking for ELT resources for data wrangling.
Responsibilities- Oversees an assigned Data Science data operation using cloud-based ELT software
- Develops logical and physical data flow models for ELT applications, translating data access, transformation, and movement requirements into functional requirements and mapping designs
- Directs basic and advanced transformation activities, such as normalization, cleansing, aggregation, summarizing, partitioning, and integration
- Performs source table / view recursion to determine sources of report data
- Interrogates data to determine its structure including what fields determine other fields
- Performs due diligence checks throughout data transformations
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, MIS, or related field
- Minimum 5 years python scripting experience
- Experience using cloud-based technology, especially data operation services (such as datalake).
- Good understanding of object storage, block storage, and file storage
- Good Understanding in data modeling techniques(Conceptual, logical, physical)
- Mastery of ELT principles (such as SCD, parallel processing, partition, etc.)
- Experience handling bigdata (parquet, ORC formats, hive based metadata) and real-time data processing
- Exposure to Cloud RDS databases like Aurora DB
- Experience with AWS Cloud based ELT services such as Glue, Database Migration Services, etc. and data streaming services such as Kafka, Kinesis, etc.
- Exposure to healthcare and / or insurance data
