Job Description
were looking for SQL Engineer/Developer to maintain our Microsoft SQL Server environment and build new ETLs and integrations. The job will require a combination of strong technical skills in data warehousing, data modeling, Transact SQL, and report writing tools. Working with Software and System Engineers and operations teams, this position will provide technical solutions and recommendations as part of a larger project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow our data warehouses in the US and UK
- Develop extracts and integrations using SSIS and/or SQL Stored Procedures
- Support our existing integrations to monitoring tools and other data repositories
- Work with our reporting teams to provide access to reporting data as required
- Work with our portal development team to enable them to consume and report on data held in our data platform
- Work with product owners and other stakeholders to ensure that applications deliver the required business value
- Deliver high quality, defect-free solutions
- Actively participate in backlog refinement, estimation sessions and daily standups.
- Prepare for and participate in sprint reviews
Knowledge
- Data warehouse design and dimensional modeling
- SQL Reporting Services and Analysis Services
- Experience with database partitioning
- Experience with SQL Server 2012
Skills
- Strong general ETL / data integration experience
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to achieve results within tight deadlines
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot/resolve complex database issues
Experience
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineer or related field and a combination of work experience
5+ years of using Microsoft SQL Server in a professional team environment
