Summary
As a SAP Commerce Technology Consultant, you will work directly with client and partner organisations requiring expert level technical assistance. The Technical Consultant works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant on product implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit/review projects.
The Technical Consultant is expected to provide clients and partners with deep product expertise and real world experience that, together, can realise the full potential of the technology to meet the client s strategic and business objectives.
Project complexity may vary from fairly straightforward to moderately complex, with single or multiple products and involve multiple environments (web, application, database servers).
Work efforts focus primarily on delivering architectural, technical design, development and deployment services on engagements ranging from short-term consulting on a client/partner project team to full life-cycle implementation projects. Duties may be performed at customer s site
Role
- Work with partners and customers to increase project quality during implementation and deployment phases through expert consulting and quality assurance reviews
- Deliver adoption and value realisation services to ensure customers get the best of their Digital Commerce platform investment
- Provide in depth technical and functional knowledge of SAP Commerce platform and integration with other SAP products
- Drive customer workshop or collaborate with partners to assess functional and technical requirements
- Deliver design for complex parts of projects to ensure scalable and flexible Cloud platform
- Provide guidance on best practices to large development team during project implementation
- Work with the support team to determine how the applications are supported in production, including system performance and monitoring
- Ability to travel abroad
Role requirements
- Mastering Java programming and deep understanding of Java EE and Spring framework
- Strong enterprise architecture design skills using modern frameworks
- Deep experience in designing and implementing highly available and scalable Cloud solutions
- Experience of agile & scrum development principles and practices
- Strong customer facing skills
- Problem solving skills, tenacity, drive, proactive and creativity
- Ability to adapt to fast-evolving technologies and fast paced environment
- Appetite for constant knowledge sharing and desire to contribute to continuous learning of the team
- Very good English language skills (verbal & written)
Nice to have :
- SAP Commerce experience is a plus but not required
- Strong consulting background
- Digital Commerce and/or Digital Marketing knowledge
- Ability to run scoping workshops and build solution proposals
- Experience in Java application performance and troubleshooting for large traffic websites
- Knowledge in front-end technologies such as AngularJS, React, NodeJS
- Understanding of Search engines (Elasticsearch, Solr) and Data Analytics (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Zookeeper)
- Interest for big data and data science
