Desired Candidate Profile
Functionize is seeking a rockstar engineering leader to own and drive its application platform strategy and execution. The right candidate would have experience successfully building highly scalable enterprise applications based on open source architecture (LAMP and Java), and thrives on the challenges and opportunities in an extremely high growth startup environment. Having done this at companies and startups (preferably US based) which have a global footprint of similar scale as Functionize would be a huge advantage. This individual will coordinate with multiple teams across the globe and will be responsible for the engineering operations in India. Responsibilities
VP Engineering, Functionize India would be a results-oriented technology executive, who would be based out of Functionize's NOIDA office and report to the CTO. This individual will be responsible for defining and driving Functionize's engineering platform including its development, deployment and management, in close coordination with his engineering counterparts in the USA. The position also presents the opportunity to shape the development and delivery of industry leading AI and Machine Learning technology, already in use by some of the biggest enterprises in the world. This individual will lead, grow, develop and coach Functionize's Enterprise Web Platform Team (Web, DB and DevOps) and the Enterprise Java development efforts in India. Strategy
* As a member of the senior management team, make a key contribution to the formulation of the company's core product and business strategies.
* Proactively advise the senior management team on the emerging technologies and digital trends that are most relevant to the company's goals and evolving needs. Execution
* Own the development roadmap and execution for the enterprise web application, user experience and its delivery to the end users.
* Manage the development efforts for our enterprise java platform, in collaboration with the global engineering teams.
* Drive business and analytical solutions to provide insights into the customer behaviour, communications and related processes. This includes driving the process capture, re-engineering and implementation with clear and measurable customer facing and internal KPIs.
* Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that current and planned platform strategy, investments and solutions are aligned with company business objectives.
* Guide evaluation and selection of any 3rd party vendors required to enhance capabilities and business processes.
* Architect and maintain key reporting dashboards, reports and KPIs across the business to share with stakeholders and management.
