Job Description
Position Title: FIRE TECHNICIAN
Reports To: KAD / Operation Manager
Location: Chakan
Role Description:
Overall responsibility for Fire alarm system, Data Center VESDA, WLD & FM 200 Panel status, Emergency exit doors LSA/Mimic bars
Key Responsibilities
(i) Fire Alarm systems
1. Operation and Maintenance shall be the scope of OEM. However, following to be ensured by IFMS Provider:
2. Ensuring all related equipment are operating properly.
3. In case of faults coordinate with O&M team to ensure timely completion of repairs
4. Ensure reports as required for operations are submitted
5. Adhere to Corporate Risk requirements and documenting system interventions, including the coordination of fire watches when required.
6. Any abnormalities in the system to be brought to notice of Administration function of the Owner
7. All safety norms to be adhered to at all times
(ii) Fire Hydrant, Fire pump room and Sprinkler systems:
1. Preventive maintenance of Fire hydrant lines, Pipe joints, Valves, Hose reels & up keeping of the same for 100% uptime for emergency operation
2. Preventive maintenance of Fire pumps (Electrical driven, DG driven) & jockey pumps
3. Check & rectification of Oil Filters, Gaskets, Washers, Gauges, V-Belts, Engine Oils, Battery, Self and Engine Servicing of Diesel Engines
4. Check & rectify Relays, Contactors, Fuses, Switches, Indicators, Auto Control Systems, Bus Bar & Cabling of Fire Control Panels
5. Check & rectify External & Internal Fire Hydrants Control valves, First Aid Hose Reel, Hose Boxes & CP Hose
6. Preventive maintenance of electrical panels connected to fire pumps
7. System to be kept on AUTO or as per administration function instructions
8. Any abnormalities in the system to be brought to notice of administration function of the Owner
All safety norms to be adhered to at all times
(iii) Fire extinguishers
1. Check/ monitor condition of Fire extinguishers
2. Ensuring the position of the right extinguishers in the floors, critical area, passage and yards as per the norms.
3. Update the list of extinguishers date of last refill and due date for expiry.
4. Coordinate with security for the fire mock drill and fire evacuation period.
5. Coordinate with maintenance and security towards sending the extinguishers for refill at site and at vendor office/ factory.
6. Coordinate with AMC vendor for the Periodical maintenance check-up.
7. Keep the all extinguishes ready for use 24/7 365 days
8. Keep the critical spares and consumable in the pump room.
9. Ensure mechanical foam extinguishers at the DG room and HSD yard.
Records to be maintained-
1. Periodical check list
2. Third party vendor PM and break down check list for refill
3. Asset list of extinguishers
4. Drawing for the same
Qualifications:
Firefighting SYSTEMS
FM 200 Fire Suppression
Fire Extinguishers, Knowledge of Preventive maintenance of electrical panels connected to fire pumps
Fire Hydrant, Fire pump room and Sprinkler systems;
Knowledge of Relays, Contactors, Fuses, Switches, Indicators, Auto Control Systems, Bus Bar & Cabling of Fire Control Panels
Safety at DG room, and HSD Yard
Preventive maintenance of Fire pumps (Electrical driven, DG driven) & jockey pumps
Knowledge of Periodical check list
