Job Description
Required Experience [5 7 Yrs]
As a QA teammate, this role will be a part of agile quality team and responsible for Validating & designing tests for various Quality aspects of a project through functional, integration, system & regression tests. This role would coordinate with various cross functional teams/ stakeholders to meet high quality standards.
General Roles and Responsibilities [Not limited to]:
- Proficient in defining test execution plan & test runs for various test factors (Mobile, Backend, API, DB, Workflow), integration testing and reviewing test runs. Follow testing checklists / templates.
- Efficient in test designing and making sure test coverage is met.
- When involved in testing, ensure test design is traceable to requirements and achieves a high test execution coverage.
- Knowledgeable on testing methodologies and principles, standards to generate test cases based on a testing strategy.
- Testing software modules by applying various types of testing and efficiently reporting the test results.
- Efficient in reviewing user stories, technical documents, and test cases making sure test coverage is met.
- Must be able to define / customize regression testing process at an application level.
- Proficient in designing stubs / drivers for integration testing.
- Study test strategy documents and validate the test approaches for the strategies defined.
Technical Skills :
- Experience in testing Mobile [Android & IoS], Backend, APIs, Databases, Content Management and web services.
- Hands on experience in functional & non-functional testing.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
- Experience in designing test cases for functional, API and system tests.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, Unix, scripting and API Testing tools like Postman or SoapUI
- Knowledge of project tracking tool preferably Jira.
- Hands on experience and sound knowledge on any automation tool - preferably Selenium / Katalon Studio.
- Hands on experience in Java OOPS & DS concepts towards automation.
- Hands on experience & sound knowledge on automation framework and strategy creation from scratch and maintaining the pass percentage above 80 %.
- Hands on experience & sound knowledge on code repository and build management tools like Bit Bucket / Git Hub and Maven / Jenkins etc.
- Hands on experience & sound knowledge on API automation framework and strategy creation from scratch and maintaining the pass percentage above 80 %.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a go-getter!
- Must be detail oriented having good analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Must have a positive mindset and attitude towards work. He should be able to collaborate with all peers and work amicably with everyone.
- Takes initiatives, ownership and responsibilities to help the managers.
Qualification & Experience
- B.E (or equivalent) in Computer Sciences
