Job Description
Manager, Category Management- In this role, you will be responsible to perform the following:
- Knowledge of category management activities for Office Services, IT, Environment Health & Safety, Communications, Subscriptions and Consulting categories
- Provide category strategy development support for the above mentioned categories
- Seek approval from Client to execute strategies and drive savings
- Support sub-category management activities for other managed categories
- Support SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) activities where appropriate
- Manage the contracting life cycle for the identified categories, this includes:
- Sourcing Strategies
- Strategic Sourcing
- Negotiation Strategies
- Contract Management (Creation, Amendments and Workspace Maintenance)
- Transactional activities (Statements of Work, Contract Renewals)
- Contract Close Out (Managing expired Contract list)
- Assist and facilitate in obtaining necessary approvals where needed
- Audit support (internal / external audit requirements and comply with segregation of duty and SOX rule set)
- Supporting special IT procurement projects
- Utilize management systems, as required (e.g. Opportunity Registry, Demand Planner)
- Spend/category baseline creation: review contract and historical invoices to create a baseline for costs.
- Build total cost of ownership ( TCO ) model: understand and list all cost components and build a category-specific TCO model.
- Provide analytical support for should-cost models
- Market intelligence capture: use market intelligence sources to generate reports to support sourcing activities.
- Supplier performance management and reporting including the maintenance of supplier KPI scorecards (predetermined frequency).
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Post graduate in any discipline
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering and or MBA
- Must have sound knowledge of English
- Preferable to have practical knowledge of SAP, Ariba and Salesforce
- Sourcing specific certifications like CPM, SPSM is a plus
