JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Physician billing claims management
- Ensure maximum revenue collection
- Calling insurance for claim queries and obtaining required information from the carriers
- Claims review and Escalation of difficult collection situations to immediate supervisors
- Denial Management for major scenarios
- Handle day-to-day billings
- Monitor days in AR and control aging and inactive claims
- Co-ordinate with insurance representative to resolve outstanding claims issues
- Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required for procedures
- Eligibility and benefits verification for service in question
- Checking insurance payment for compliance with provider contract
- Appeals preparation and review
- Handling Rejections from clearing house and insurance carriers
- Constantly keep track of both electronic and paper claims
- Resolve billing issues that have resulted in delayed payments
- Meeting quality benchmark
- Understand the project requirements and specifications
- Ensure targeted Collections are met on a daily / monthly basis and Ensure follow-up on pending claims
- Prepare and maintain claim status reports
- Maintaining record for delayed payments and pay to provider addresses
Required Experience:
6 months to 3 years
Required Candidate profile
Excellent spoken English as well as reading & writing
Should be flexible for working in permanent night shift
Should be well versed with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) - US Healthcare
Strong Domain knowledge in Physician billing and related Services
Should have knowledge of all the Major denial scenarios
Knowledge about the modifiers and basic DX
Should be able to handle multi-Specialty claims
Should have worked on Mix payers PPO, HMO, Federal Payers, Worker Compensation, IPA
Should know the general payer specific guidelines
Should have proper know how of appeal preparations and related work
Should possess knowledge about Medical billing day to day terminology
Should have command over claims review and claim rectifications
Basic technical knowledge including MS Office, Email/Browser and day to day tools
