Inviting applications for the role of L2 Desktop Engineer - Operations
Responsibilities:
Being part of L2 support engineers supporting network operation on 24 x 7 basis, lead the incidents raised by either customers or L1 support teams and provide required resolution within agreed timelines. Candidates should be flexible to work in weekend shifts and support off-hours if required.
In case of issues are outside the scope of team, call out, involve third level/vendor teams for resolution of the incidents.
Own activities around reducing number of repeated incidents while working with respective teams.
Find opportunities for automation of operation activities and work with related to implement solution and achieve required benefits.
Review current knowledge base, run book/operation procedures and fill the gaps, add/modify the contents to keep the knowledge base updated.
While owing the resolution of the incidents, inform/communicate updates about the progress to partners, carry out timely escalation as per the process, participate in major incident handling calls.
Switching and Routing
Switches and Routers- operation experience of advanced troubleshooting
Working experience Routing protocols -OSPF and BGP
Minimum knowledge of Data Center operation experience.
Data Center Management/ Operations (Hub, Switch, Rack, Cage, Provisioning and De- provisioning etc.)
Customer Mailbox Management
Patching, Reconciliation, Antivirus managing, FTP,
Kiosk Management
Client Tool Management (logging ticket, navigation, usage of the tool)
Presentation Skills, Call Management, Reporting skills
Client Management
IMAC activities
Printer Management (print services, print server etc.) s
Hardware support
Basic knowledge of Problem and Change Management
Knowledge and experience of working on Remedy Tool
Basic knowledge of Software management and software licensing SAM
Compliance and Audit support
Asset management where customer provides assets
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate, preferred in IT stream
Excellent verbal & written communication skills to work with Global Customers.
Expertise in IT with one of IT infrastructure domain and taking care of international partners.
Strong analytical skills with experience in using Excel and PowerPoint
Flexible to accommodate time-zones as to meet the client demands, clients being geographically dispersed
Ability to work under pressure with a good sense of setting priorities
Preferred qualifications (Desired Experience):
Knowledge in Application area would be an added advantage
