SUMMARY
In the global economy, our customers have to deliver new products more frequently and adapt product changes more quickly, while the complexity of products rises. These companies rely heavily on managing their products across the extended enterprise, it becomes essential to establish a digital thread for product data to ensure access to up-to-date product data and traceability. We re looking for a motivated and talented Developer with cloud mindset who wants to join us on our exciting journey to create SAP s digital thread solution. You will make sure that smooth infrastructure setup and CI/CD for the team. While Development will be your core task, developing software at SAP is much more than just that. It s a team effort, including designing our products for the end user/customers, delivering our services efficiently and fast, in time and in quality. In this role you will:
THE ROLE
- Autonomous building, setting up and document new development tools and infrastructure to form a self-service platform for our engineers
- Working on ways to further automate and improve our CI/CD process
- Support ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats (DevSecOps)
- Support internal and external customers on multiple platforms to troubleshoot customer environments to increase user satisfaction
- Develop tooling and processes to drive and improve customer experience, create playbooks, increase efficiency, and reduce incidents
- Work with engineering and IT teams to oversee and manage code releases
- Monitor application environments and responding to issues as needed
ROLE REQUIREMENT
- Master/ bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering or related with 4-7 years of experience in professional software development, preferably within a scrum team and experience working in an Agile, fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of containerization (e.g. docker), scaling of services using Kubernetes, Istio and similar services
- Expertise in building code while ensuring highest quality through test driven development, integration tests, code coverage
- Working knowledge with public clouds like AWS, GCP or Azure and familiarity of DevOps,experience working with Git and GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry.(CI/CD) tools and process such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, and similar tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot through the full stack on the cloud. Experience in building and deploying functions in the cloud would be an added advantage
- Automation experience with at least one configuration/deployment management system such as, AWS Cloud Formation, or other such tools. Experience working with at least one of the following languages: Node.js, Python, Ruby, and Java.
- Knowledge of modern back-end technology stacks, tools, and standards, including relational and non-relational databases, webservers, server-side frameworks such as Postgres, MongoDB, Nginx, Node.js, restful APIs, and OAuth is a plus
