Job description:
- Utilize the best tool for the best need in the detail of an application architecture, awareness with tools and always looking for new and compare between different services or solutions
- Design and manage our monitoring and alerting systems across 12+ countries
- System administration tasks for the Linux environment
- Deploy software in an always-on web environment
- Troubleshoot production issues and keep the infrastructure up to date with software patches. Automate routine tasks using shell/python/ruby scripting to improve organizational efficiency
- Recommend and implement enhancements to continuously improve availability, reliability, and performance of web applications
Required skills:
- 6+ years of relevant work experience: DevOps/Infrastructure, Test Automation and Development
- OO Programming Skills: Strong OO Programming skills (.NET, C#, VB)
- Scripting languages (Eg: PowerShell, Python, Bash, Shell)
- Good Knowledge of LINUX operating Systems :
- Process limit
- Networking / HTTP
- System administration ( Prefered Ubuntu/CentOS )
- Tuning
- Strong CI, CD experience using tools like Salstack, Shippable, Jenkins, TeamCity or other.
- Experience with Containerization (e.g: Docker, Swarm, Kubernates)
- Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure (e.g : AWS, Google Cloud, OpenStack, Azure )
- Experience with source control : (e.g : Git, TFS)
- Familiarity with agile and devops practices and methodologies
- Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems and a willingness to learn
Preferred skills (great to have):
- Cluster Configuration and Automating tools (e.g : Ansible, SaltStack, Chef , Puppet )
- Experience with deploying distributed web applications : Apache, Nginx, NFS
- Certificate management , Firewalls
- Log Transportation and consolidation (Eg: Logstash, Kibana, Graphite, InfluxDB)
- Search and listing Engines: Solr, Elastic search, etc
