We're hiring for Dy. General Manager - (Quality Assurance & Control)
Location: Chennai
Job Responsibility
- Oversee quality control and quality assurance
- Oversees QAC department to ensure calibration of measurement equipment is maintained in accordance with quality assurance system.
- Develops and manages plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets.
- Develops the strategic direction, mission and vision for the Quality organization that supports overall organizational strategic direction, mission and vision.
- Foster a team environment of collaboration, respect, and continuous learning.
- Problems faced are often complex and require extensive analysis and investigation
- Requires ability to influence others to accept approaches and practices.
- Leads implementation of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
- Oversees quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
- Manages teams collecting and analyzing quality information from multiple sources to develop long-term quality strategy and programs.
- Manages teams providing production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.
- Develops and implements operations quality plans and procedures.
- Manages and maintains department budget requirements.
- Champion operations site APQP initiatives.
- Participates in and supports site compliance (FAI, AS9100D) and customer Audits.
Skill sets required:
- BE (ECE/EEE) with knowledge in Quality Management
- 30 -35 years experience managing people; direct interface experience in dealing with customer representatives.
- 15+ Years in Aerospace is required
- Knowledge of APQP / processes is preferred.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.
- GD&T experience, ability to make compliance determinations, ability to understand statistical inference.
- Good presentation skills.
