Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant Database Developer
Responsibilities
In this role, the candidate joining the team must be able to operate in a fast paced, dynamic environment where time to market is a key requirement without compromising on the quality and resiliency of the application.
Work will include database support and engineering, platform migration, database code line remediation, performance tuning and testing, infrastructure configuration analysis and documentation, troubleshoot and remediate replication performance issues.
The job will involve partnering with different teams within the organization in carrying out the above mentioned duties. Major roles & responsibilities are follows:-
- Involvement in application development, performance optimization of SQL code
- Troubleshoot replication related issues
- Contribute in building tools to automate very critical aspects of the plant management, including but not limited to Static SQL Code Analysis, Performance Comparisons , Near-real time Performance monitoring
- DB version upgrade
- Ensure data and schema consistency between multiple environments (development, QA, UAT and production).
- Stored procedure remediation and testing.
- Remediation of database hygiene issues.
- Establish and maintain communication with key players.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
- BE/B Tech/ MCA
Preferred qualifications
- Strong hands on experience on Sybase ASE
- Expertise in Sybase-Sybase, Sybase-DB2 Replication
- Some working knowledge on DB2 is also preferred
- Excellent T-SQL/ANSI skills and stored procedure development/ performance tuning experience.
- Scripting knowledge (Python , Perl ,Unix)
- Experience in Unix/Linux OS environments.
- Knowledge of Sybase 16 known issues and features.
- Knowledge of load balancing solutions and high availability options.
- Regular India working hours with some coverage to US/UK teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
