Inviting applications for the role of Management trainee, GAAP Accounting
Responsibilities:- Preparation of UK GAAP financial documents quarterly and annually
- Core Market Returns: QMA, QMB, GQD etc and responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual closing of books
- Record all entries including underwriting activity, claims, investments, expenses, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, tax, corporate and legal entity allocations, eliminations and cash
- Perform analytical functions to test that results are reasonable and build effective controls in the Lloyds accounting & reporting processes to ensure accuracy of the financials
- Actively work with IT & reengineering team to provide inputs for system upgrades (Claims, underwriting & GL) with a goal of streamlining the close process & build effective controls.
- Work towards restructuring the chart of accounts to meet the reporting requirement and operational improvements and Streamlining to drive efficiencies and effectiveness
- Understanding of closing process for an insurance P&C company and Should have experience and understand the Lloyd s Insurance Market framework of multiple reporting requirements.
Qualifications we seek in youMinimum qualifications
Preferred Skill Set- Preferred with Lloyd s Syndicate reporting experience but training can be provided to the suitable candidate
- Insurance Certification and proficient in excel
- Understanding the dynamics of Lloyd s Insurance Market along with Experience in year end audit for Financial Documents.
- Experience of front ending with customer, issue partner concern
- Good experience with ERP - Preferably Oracle GL ; IT savvy & Understands interface processes with accounting ledger
- Regulatory Reporting exposure around Solvency II
