Job description:
Designing of chemical process equipment layout and making data sheets.
Conduct research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes.
Establish safety procedures for those working with dangerous chemicals.
Develop processes for separating components of liquids and gases, or for generating electrical currents, by using controlled chemical processes.
Design and plan the layout of equipment.
Conduct tests and monitor the performance of processes throughout production.
Troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes.
Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Estimate production costs for management.
Purchasing and installing equipment.
Using scientific principles related to magnitude, momentum, heat transfer etc.
Supervising plant operations.
Investigating and troubleshooting plant/process problems.
Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines and within financial budgets.
Ensuring that equipment works to its specification and to appropriate capacities.
Assessing safety and environmental issues.
Liaising with installation/project engineers and specialists.
Ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Technology, Master of Technology, Bachelor of Science,Chemical Engineering
Experience :
Previous experience in polyurethane construction chemicals and pre- polymers with
elastomer experience.
Experience with quality system/regulation, design control and regulatory procedures.
Multi-site or plant experience is required.
Additional Information:
Strong Technical abilities and knowledge.
Process equipment experience is desired.
Practical Problem solving skills.
Team worker and good communicator.
Excelled project management & process engineering skills.
