PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Globalization Services enables the customers to expand their business worldwide and create value chains for sustainable growth, thus making every customer best-run business everywhere. Globalization Services owns, secures, and enhances Globalization of SAP solutions across the entire solution portfolio, covering technical prerequisites, translation, global business practices and local requirements.
The Product Unit HCM (PU HCM) part of Globalization Services works on localization of the Human Capital Management (HCM) including Support, Legal change and New Solutions. Join us and be part of Cloud Native Payroll localization, which is a greenfield project that is being delivered from ground up!
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Be part of the engineering team located in Bangalore and work in a highly motivated Scrum team. Your responsibility will be to cover all stages and tasks within the entire software development cycle:
- Work as a Senior ABAP developer in an agile development team according to the Scrum methodology
- Take over responsibility for design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and customer support for SAP HCM Payroll solutions. Willing to take end to end responsibility.
- Contribute to Architecture and Concept definition in your area of responsibility
- Participate in defining, developing, and managing the software development models, and work with colleagues across different departments and time zones.
- Work closely with colleagues across functions in your team and with other development teams
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor s/ Master s degree from in computer science or related field with 7-14 years of professional experience in developing Enterprise applications.
- Strong technical skills in ABAP and OOPS to develop modem cutting edge software that performs and scales.
- Sound knowledge in Object Oriented Programming Principles, Design Patterns and Software Architecture.
- RDBMS concepts and Solid foundation with relational database and SQL.
- Exposure to debugging, troubleshooting and performance tuning for complex SQL queries.
- Exposure to building Analytical and report modelling for highly customizable Enterprise applications.
- Working knowledge of Scrum, Test Driven Development and passionate about unit test, integrity testing, stress testing and performance testing and test automation.
