Inviting applications for the role of Consultant Network Security Engineer
Primary responsibilities
- Familiarity with Networking architecture
- Supporting our internal client with network comm. Requirements, preparing implementation plans for network consulting team, preparing risk assessments,
- Top 3 skills: Firewall management and implementation (slightly lower than implementation), proxy related experience with risk assessment, governance and compliance around network security (not an audit role but it s a compliance and governance role, activities similar to auditing)
- Initial troubleshooting investigation (creating RFC, Implementation plan, kind of an L1 role), then ticket assigned to Operations team which is a different team
- Tool used by this time ServiceNow, but not a mandatory requirement, but a good to have skill
- Troubleshooting skills for firewall and network
- Ownership of firewall chain management process
- Mainly deal with network security
- Some financial background will be an added advantage to understand compliance criticality within banking space
- Preferably someone who has worked with a large enterprise
- It s not a network role that involves routing and switching, but more towards network security and firewall side of things
