Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Brief Description:
The Cloud Platform Engineer will be responsible for customers successful adoption of the Privacera platform, including sensitive data discovery and access management. The Cloud Platform Engineer works Solution Architects to serve as a trusted advisor helping Privaceras customers successfully design and implement their cloud strategy, and security and governance blocks using Privacera solution. The Cloud Platform Engineer will need a working understanding of cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon EMR as well as security paradigms such as IAM. Privacera is redefining data governance and security for the public cloud, and the Cloud Platform Engineer plays a crucial role in helping customers implement Privacera.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise to support successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of Privacera solution
Help configure, install Privacera solution in Kubernetes, Dockers, and Hadoop environments
Build references architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customers
Provide an escalated level of support for critical customer operational issues
Evangelize Privacera Ranger-based solutions across the developer community through meetups and conferences
Demonstrated ability to work with the technology teams of new clients while delivering significant revenue impact.
Qualifications:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Excellent presentation and whiteboarding skills
5+ years experience in customer-facing, technical architecture or consulting roles
Relevant experience as a systems administrator in a systems operations role
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes
Ability to work with virtualization technology
Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g. DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls)
Ability to deploy, manage and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems.
Capability to select the appropriate services based on compute, data or security requirements
Ability to estimate usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms
Good to have experience in common public cloud infrastructure and data solutions such as AWS EMR, Azure HDInsight, AWS Redshift, AWS S3, Azure ADLS, Databricks, and/or Snowflake
Good to have experience in implementing Security and Data Governance in Cloud Environment.
Good to have understanding of Role and Attribute-Based access control mechanisms and implementation of access control in Cloud or Relational Database environments.
