Job Description
- Roles and Responsibilities :
Business Analyst will be responsible for creating new models that support business decisions by working closely with business teams, financial reporting and IT teams to establish Business data, Statistical data, Analytics, Trends, Revenue Opportunities, Customer data points, actionable data with Sharp and highly effective Dashboard Reporting. Business Analyst will require plenty of experience in understanding key data, business forecasting, budgeting and trend analysis combined with understanding of key performance indicators in the e-commerce, physical retail and distribution domain.
Desired Candidate Profile
Role will be responsible for creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business covering (but not limited to) -
- Budgeting and forecasting Sales, Ops
- Sales and Analytics
- Monitoring and Tracking Sales, Ops
- Variance analysis Sales, Ops
- Pricing analysis
- Reporting Daily, Weekly, monthly and annual business reviews & reporting covering (& not limited to) sales, traffic, conversion, CS matrix, Ops metrics, customer journey, customer acquisition/retention/leakages/drop offs, brand wise/SKU wise insights, customer demographics, geographic analysis, digital and marketing KPIs
- Customer relationship management
- understanding the customer cohorts,
- understanding the customer journey through various channels and on App/Web,
- analysis around customer funnel and providing insights for actionable to improve customer acquisition, retention, repeat purchase, UPT/AOV increase, brands/SKUs implications for each customer funnel stage
- assist in developing CRM activities plan for both B2C and B2B businesses in order to build customer loyalty and drive consumption
- deliver customer insights and make recommendations by performing data analyses and post activity evaluations
- responsible for identifying key trends and factors influencing customer behavior, like consumption and brand loyalty
- assist in campaign design and performance evaluation for building different stages of customer funnel
- Defining business requirements and reporting them back to stakeholders
- Identifying and then prioritizing technical and functional requirements tops the business analyst's list of responsibilities
- Problem identification, root causing and solution development using different techniques (5Why, tree analysis, basis first principle)
It s an individual contributor role and needs to have complete understanding of systems, data extraction, inter departmental data management and business analysis. The role of a business analyst will constantly evolve and change- especially as HOB rely more on data to advise business operations.
Business analyst skills
The business analyst position requires both hard skills and soft skills. Business analysts need to know how to pull, analyze and report data trends, and be able to share that information with others and apply it on the business side. Individual needs to have a string business understanding and IT background is preferred but not mandatory as long as they have a general understanding of how systems, products and tools work.
