Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Position : AM - Farmer Finance
Report to : Project Manager
Industry : NGO
Location : Vishakhapatnam, AP
Experience: Looking for experience in SME rural financing / exposure of providing Financial support to Farmer Producer organisation for rural development space.
Job role: The incumbent would be responsible for providing Financial / Loan access to Farmers and Farmer Producer organisation by engaging or doing efficient tie ups with Banks / Financial Institutions or other related networks.
Serve as the principal liaison between financial institutions, including banks, micro finance institutions, impact investors and other financial service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve access to finance for farmers and farmer producer companies.
- Promote Direct Benefit Transfer/ Cashless transaction for FPO members.
- Assess financial viability of the FPOs and develop/monitor their business plans.
- Build linkages with FIs for new and appropriate product development to increase access to early stage capital requirements by FPOs.
- The role would involve travel to project locations.
Desired skills & expertise:
Experience of SME finance, value-chain finance, access to finance and enterprise development.
Exposure of working in financial institutions and enterprise level technical assistance.
Understanding of various kind of financial support to FPOs by government agencies like Custom Hiring Centers, Seed Hub etc.
Experience of development sector consulting would be preferred other than Banking industry.
Must be fluent with local language - Telugu.
