Job Description
The Delivery Vertical (DV) is an entity in the Global Functions IT organization. Working within the GF Finance Delivery Vertical
The Test Lead supports the project teams by enabling Application Testing and implementing group best practices Test processes and practices.
The Test Lead role in the delivery organization works closely with the Test Manager and / or Project manager to ensure that disciplined application testing and reporting are aligned to project delivery.
The purpose of Test Lead is to provide testing services for Enterprise - wide SAP and Non - SAP applications. The services are critical to ensure defects are detected upfront during testing and to ensure only quality deliverables are moved to the production box.
The Test Lead is expected to prepare & execute test scripts , report test results and manage defects.
The Test Lead reports directly to Capability Lead - Testing and is responsible for delivering test activities directly to the project / project support team
Key Responsibilities include:
As a Tester (cum Lead) , you will be responsible to plan and undertake end - to - end test activities such as test effort estimation , test script development , test execution &defects management
In some cases , the Tester will develop , data sets and data migration test plans
Work collaboratively with Test Manager / Business Analysts in project to assess test scenarios and provide test requirements based on risk - based testing methodology. Test coverage may extend beyond ERP systems.
You need to manage the work in respective functional area to enable effectiveness and efficiency in meeting the targeted testing SLA and business continuity.
Involve in executing test approaches for new projects that require test services from the Test Team.
Develop Change Request / Data Request test scripts , test conditions , input test data and expected results especially those that require integration between modules.
Have a broad understanding of SAP related / business processes; not only in respective functional areas but also integration points.
Able to work with testing tools such HPALM , MS VSTS , HP UFT or Worksoft Certify QTP
Create , run & maintain scripts for manual and automated testing in the areas of functional , performance & interface testing.
Ever - green documentations in their respective areas e.g. in the Test Library.
Work with the Test Manager / Business Analysts / Functional Team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.
Participate in improvement initiatives.
Test script development will be based on test scenarios prepared by the Test Manager / Business Analysts.
Act as the coach for the new team members with regards to their role and processes , as Test SME
Create Integrated test plans including E2E integration testing , end user identification and training planning accounts and set up end user test accounts,
