Job Description
Shift Timings
Day Shift 9AM-6PM; Desk job (travel may be required to meet with onshore project team, stakeholders/ clients. Might have to stretch beyond regular work hours at times.)
Work Description/Role Summary: (Brief 4-5 line description of the role )
Microsoft SQL Developer with strong SQL Server programming skills and experience on dotnet development on windows and web applications
Role overview: (Detailed role description 10-12 lines)
Schema design, Queries, stored procedures writing, code review, SQL query tuning.
Designing and developing database architectures Responsible for creation, improvement and maintenance of the databases.Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and costs.
Responsible for supporting the SQL Server databases and ensuring their performance, availability.
SQL Reporting Services/Report Builder/ETL Performance Profiling (both indexing and performance optimization of large datasets)Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
Strong SQL Server experience Ability to write complex queries and stored procedures Good logical, analytical and reasoning capabilityApplies knowledge and experience to client work relevant to the type of client and/or problems.
Contributes to the Requirements understanding, effort estimate and design process for the client.
Experience working with colleagues spread across multiple offices with excellent skills in conflict resolution and decision making.
Good knowledge in Software Development Process, Software Architecture and design concepts
Good knowledge in Software development technologies i.e. Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, database design, normalization, database query optimizations and Agile development delivery approaches (Scrum, Agile Framework).
Mandatory Skills (Behavioral)
Excellent Research and development skills.
Client management, collaboration and decision-making skills for working with multiple stakeholders;
Self-motivated and confident individual with a Can-do attitude.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (both verbal and written) and engage in technical discussions;
Ability to demonstrate excellence. in delivering high quality and timely products to the clients through a small but highly skilled team.
Mandatory Skills (Specialized)
SQL Server, Queries, Stored procedures, SSIS, ETL processing in SQL server and data-warehousing concepts
Good To Have: C#, .NET Concepts, Python, R- Small to large project teams and extensive interaction with internal and/or external clients.
Education
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology/Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related business analysis/development field or equivalent; MBA/master s degree a plus
Minimum of 5 years industry experience in product development or serviceoriented companies
