Inviting applications for the role of Technical Associate SOC Engineer
Responsibilities
Incident Handling / Monitoring: 24/7 monitoring, Event analysis, Triaging alerts
- Incident Logging, Triage, Queue Monitoring, Incident customer concern and resolution for alerts / events generated from following IM Security Tools.
- CISCO AMP / Symantec End Point Monitoring (SEPM) / Proofpoint* / FortiGate*.
- Perform investigation work on known information security incidents and outbreaks.
- Recommend mitigation strategy for known incidents and communicate to the appropriate client teams for remediation. Work on the called out End User Incidents.
- Call out unresolved tickets for higher level to the client s internal teams. Follow customer concern guidelines for Critical/ High/Medium incidents.
- Collate information & submit for Tier 2 analysis. Risk analysis, Remediation steps & advice. Fine-tuning & false positive reduction.
Symantec End Point Monitoring: Console monitoring & monitoring health check.
- Monitor Symantec End Point Monitoring console for regular health checkup of systems.
- Extracting & publishing the daily risk log report from SEPM to identify corrupt endpoint clients.
- Working on Group Update Provider (GUP) to ensure remediation of issues relating to defective or not up to date servers.
Change / Service Request:
- Perform assessment & approvals as per defined client process such as Domain / URL Access Request / Firewall Change Request.
Waivers Program:
Coordinating the overall cycle of Waiver requests i.e. from requesting the waiver forms, processing them for approval, until confirming on remediation.
- Follow-up with partners as part of WAIVERS program. Collecting & approving WAIVERS forms from different partners within the client environment.
- Prepare Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly reports.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
- Dedication to preserve and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data.
- Experience in an information security domain or basic knowledge in End points.
- Good hands on experience on MS excel.
- Willing to work in 24/7 support, variable weekly off s.
- Quick resourcefulness
- Good Communication Skills
- Need to be a great teammate
Preferred qualifications
- Good interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication.
- Must be able to work in an English environment
