Job Description
Designation: Test Lead
Experience: 8 to 12 Years
Location: Chennai

Job Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The individual should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including diverse technologies and lab environments. The individual will work closely with product managers, developers, project managers and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results, troubleshooting and coordinating defect resolution. The individual should have a strong understanding of SDLC processes and the QA lifecycle and methodology.
Major Responsibilities:
- Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
- Understand product / application features / requirements and define Test Strategy, Test Plan and business scenarios.
- Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases
- Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build/script new tools for performing testing/validation function
- Develop and lead the automation strategy/effort and generate scripts to perform automated testing cycles using (primarily) Mercury Interactive/HP products (Quality Center, QTP, etc)
- Execute and analyze automation test results.
- Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
- Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using Quality Center or similar tools/means
- Design business scenarios and transactions for Automation/Performance testing
Create Automation / Performance benchmarking framework - Support production deployment of applications and perform validation testing during the off-hours maintenance windows

Defect Tracking Tools (One of the tool is mandatory)
JIRA, Bugzilla
DBMS (One of Database is mandatory)
SQL Server, MySQL
Experience/Skills:
- Relevant work experience in development and/or testing role with a minimum of 8 years of experience in testing (4 years minimum in automated testing)
- Android & iOS mobile testing is mandatory
- Equity/ broking application testing is mandatory
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical background and an understanding of financial industry. Preferably Mutual funds and Stocks.
- Database skills, mainly in SQL Server.
- Good experience with different Operating Systems, Windows Linux, etc,
- Knowledge of automated testing tools like WinRunner, QTP, Rational Robot, etc
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
- Must be flexible, independent and self motivated
