Job Description
What You Will Do
- Lead the GoMart consumer app product development team working on key consumer experience streams, providing technology leadership and foster engineering excellence
- Design and develop highly scalable, highly available, reliable, secure and fault tolerant systems with minimal guidance for one of the worlds fastest growing companies
- Pair with team members on functional and nonfunctional requirements, and spread design philosophy, goals and improve the code quality across the team
- Partner with the product management team to define and execute the feature roadmap
- Translate business requirements into scalable and extensible design
- Coordinate with cross functional teams (Mobile, DevOps, UX, QA etc.) to define, design, and ship new features that impact our customers and merchant partners
- Proactively manage stakeholder communication related to deliverables, risks, changes and dependencies
- Take time to understand user preferences and behaviors, and use this data to enhance their user experiences with each release
What You Will Need
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing and deploying large scale applications in any language or stack
- Proficiency in Golang / Ruby
- Proficiency in OOP, SQL, Linux/Unix and Design Patterns; experience with functional programming is a plus
- Data modeling experience in both Relational and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with ElasticSearch
- Ability to design and implement low latency RESTful services
- Well-versed with Agile methodologies, TDD and Test Engineering and Automation
