Job Description
- Excellent/Strong communication skills A Must
- Able to work collaboratively with diverse end-users and a geographically distributed team.
- Should be willing to take complete ownership/accountability on the project assigned.
Primary Function:
- Experience with Linux
- Skills in Ansible and Unix shell programming
- Experience in Storage and Clustering technologies
- Working knowledge of VI
- Knowledge of UNIX security and authorization functionality
Skills specification:
- Should have hands-on experience in IBM-AIX
- Should have hands-on experience in AIX VIO/AIX NIM
- Should have hands-on experience with LVM
- Should have experience in High Availability Clustering
- Responsible for monitoring of UNIX (AIX, HP & Linux) servers continuously and resolving the system-related issues if any occurred as 24/7 support.
- Responsible for managing User / Group Administration
- Responsible to create file systems, disk partitioning, and troubleshooting.
- Responsible to troubleshoot and resolve complex systems hardware and software problems.
- Responsible to communicate with vendors on any sort of unresolved issues such as hardware failures, related to newly released updates
- Responsible to analyze and diagnose system failures recover and restore operating systems and file systems
- Responsible to monitor system availability, load, and system capacity
- Responsible to schedule and execute regular system management activities including system reboot, backup, recovery, Patching (OS & Firmware level), archiving, and restoration
- Storage experience is added advantage
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Should be willing to work in Shifts (24/7 Support)
Other Skills:
- IBM / Red Hat certifications preferred.
- Linux Certified Engineer is preferred.
